Message from the Headteacher
Dear all,
What a busy week we have had with Nativity and School Choir performances. The children have made us burst with pride. Thank you also to the staff and parents who have supported the children in their performances.
We have another busy week planned next week too....
Monday 16th December - 'Music for Miniatures' provides classical music in an accessible way to children who might not get the chance to experience it otherwise. We are really looking forward to their performance.
Wednesday 18th December - 'Holy Thorn' Please arrive at 9.50am on the church grounds at the front. The two eldest children will cut a sprig of the 'Holy Thorn' which will be sent to the King for his Christmas table. The ceremony will be followed by a church service. This is for the school and dignitaries only due to the capacity of the church and safeguarding.
Thursday 19th December - School Christmas Lunch. Children are invited to wear something Christmassy for the day.
Friday 20th December - Our final day of the term, ending with a Carol Service in the Church at 2pm. Please arrive via the Church's main front door from 1:50pm.
Finally, in case you missed my post earlier in the week, we are proud to announce that our school has been officially rated 'Good' in all areas by Ofsted, with the school being praised for the pastoral support and high expectations it has for it's children. The inspection took place on the 19th and 20th of November.
The report, published by Ofsted this week, highlights how pupils feel safe and happy in the school and feel proud of the contribution they make to the community.
The report recognised the commitment of Governors and the work we do with parents and carers.
I feel proud that the hard work of everyone in our school community has been recognised in the findings, including the positive comments about our wonderful pupils, our hard-working staff and committed governors. As we approach the end of term we eagerly anticipate an exciting future and are determined to build upon our achievements and provide the highest quality education for all our children. You can read the report in full in the attached file.
